Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

“Their sound has gone forth into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.” ...

Our Church is Apostolic because it follows the life and teaching established by the Apostles. They in their turn continue the mission of our Teacher and Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. The rule of faith given to us by our Saviour and his Disciples must be kept without change as He says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away (Matthew 24:35).” The Apostle teaches, “Even if an angel from heaven should preach another gospel other than the one we preach to you, let him be anathema (Galatians 1:8).” The goal is after death to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. In this world there are many contradictory opinions about what we must do and not do in order to inherit the Kingdom of Christ and even about the meaning of Christianity.

Every organization has its rules as does every household. To be a member in good standing of the group we must agree to follow the rules. So it is in the Church here on earth and also in Christ’s Kingdom. If we do not follow the guidelines, if we presume to write our own script, we find ourselves excluded from the community. For example, our Lord says, “…Not all that say to me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of Heaven but only those who fulfill the will of my heavenly Father (Matthew 7:21).” The Apostles also define the qualifications for membership in the Heavenly Kingdom. They write, “…Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators [or cohabiters living in fornication], nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor masturbators, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor the evil-tongued, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God (I Corinthians 6:9).” Even if we do not fall into these sins but only support, sympathize and justify those who do, we will share in their eternal fate.

We would be wise to study the Scriptures, advise with the clergy in order to prepare carefully for our eventual death and the final judgment, to avoid a terrible and unexpected sentence against us.

Contemporary society, its leaders and media in many ways advocate a life style contrary to an Orthodox Christian understanding. These leaders and spokesmen are inspired, according to the Apostles, by dark, demonic forces that would lead us not to the Kingdom of Christ but to the Kingdom of Satan.

There remains hope for us Christians. We all sin and make mistakes. While there is still time we can return to God and change our lives, the direction of our souls and our way of thinking. At the first Pentecost the Jews were deeply moved by the words of the Apostle, and acknowledged their sins asking, “What should we do?” St Peter answered, “Repent! (Acts 2:38)” Our Lord answered those who questioned the role of Providence when some suffer from natural and other disasters, with the words, “Unless you repent, you will also likewise perish (Luke 13:3).”

Дорогие братия и сестры!

«Во всю землю изыде вещание их и в концы вселенныя глаголы их».

Почему наша Церковь называется Апостольской? Потому что она живет и дышит жизнью и учением Святых Апостолов. А святые Апостолы в свою очередь продолжали божественную миссию нашего Учителя и Спасителя.

Правило веры дано нам нашим Спасителем и Его учениками и мы должны хранить его без всякого изменения, как учат сами апостолы: «Но если бы даже мы или Ангел с неба стал благовествовать вам не то что мы благовествовали Вам, да будет анафема».

Потому и соблюдаем  мы со страхом и трепетом божественные заповеди, что надеемся   сподобиться после смерти стать наследниками Царства Небесного.

Сегодня мы встречаем  противоречивые мнения о значении христианства и о его цели. И тут стоить  помнить, что в каждой организации, в каждой семье есть свои правила,  без соблюдения которых невозможно оставаться полноценным членом никакой общности. Такое же положение несомненно существует и в Церкви – здесь, на земле,  и там - в Царстве Небесном.

Если мы откажемся исполнять данные нам правила или захотим придумать свои собственные, нас изгонят из любой организации. Что же от нас требуется, чтобы стать подлинными членами Царства Христова?

Господь наш Иисус Христос говорит: «Ибо из сердца исходят злые помыслы, убийства, прелюбодеяние, любодеяния, кражи, лжесвидетельства, хуления…» И дальше: «не всякий говорящий мне, Господи, Господи, войдет в Царство Небесное, но исполняющий волю Отца Моего Небесного». Святые Апостолы точно определяют: «не обманывайтесь – не блудники, не идолослужители, не прелюбодеи, не малакии, не мужеложники, не воры, не лихоимцы, не пьяницы, не злоречивые, не хищники, - Царства Божия не наследуют».

Некоторые нас уверяют, что  сами они так не грешат,  однако если они поддерживают и оправдывают богопротивное поведение, тоже   Царства Божия не наследуют.

Нам подобает готовится  к смерти и Страшному Суду,  внимательно изучая Священное Писание и учение Святых Отцов, дабы избегнуть страшного и совершенно неожиданного осуждения.

Современная нам светская власть и средства массовой информации учат такому образу жизни, который противоположен православному христианскому понятию. По учению Святых Апостолов, вдохновитеялями такового воздействия являются темные демонические силы, а цель понятна -  вести нас не в Царство Христово, но в царство сатаны.

Мы, христиане, живем надеждою. Мы все грешим и ошибаемся, но пока есть еще время,  можем обратиться ко Господу и переменить образ жизни и направление души. Во время первой пятидесятницы после проповеди Апостола Петра слушатели евреи сокрушались сердцем и: «сказали Петру и прочим Апостолам – что нам делать? » и Петр же сказал им «покайтесь».

Господь сказал в Евангелии «если не покаетесь, вы же погибнете.»
