Apple Picking at Holy Trinity Monastery
Apple Picking at Holy Trinity Monastery
On September 22 the seminarians had their first common obedience for the year to pick  apples.  After lunch the students were divided into groups and began collecting the apples into boxes. At the same time there was another group making preparations for apple pies and apple preserves. By the end of the day we had baked forty apple pies, made plenty of apple preserves and another group prepared a barbecue for all the students. We are grateful for the women pilgrims that assisted us in baking the pies and making the apple preserves. The following day a few students  went to Dyn's Apple Cider Mill and got  over 150 gallons of apple cider. Everyone worked hard  and well together and the students felt how important it is to do things together for the common good.
