On Monday December 30 2013 a moleben and Akathist was served in Slavonic after compline and on the following day a moleben and Akathist was served before the icon in English. On the feast of St. John of Kronstadt the Kurk icon was present at three Divine Liturgies. Archimandrite Luke served a midnight liturgy in English at the Dormition of the Theotokos chapel in the Cemetery, then it was present in the slavonic liturgy at 6am at the St. Job of Pochaev chapel and after the liturgy, Father Nikolai Olhovski took the Kursk Icon to the parish of St. John of Kronstadt for the 9am liturgy. Archimandrite Luke in his sermon before the moleben urged all to pray to the Mother of God to help us prepare spiritually and to cleanse our hearts so that we may worthily celebrate the Nativity of Christ.
