Due to the COVID crisis, the monastery and seminary, which originally had planned very festive commemorations of several jubilees this year, has had to greatly diminish the original plans. So it was that on November 26, 2020, which was also Thanksgiving Day in the United States, the monastery commemorated the 70th anniversary of the consecration of the cathedral of the Holy Trinity Monastery.
His Grace, Bishop Luke, along with the monastery clergy, served the Divine Liturgy, which was followed by a full Thanksgiving moleben. The moleben was both for giving thanks to God for all of His countless mercies for having such a beautiful main church, which has been the center for the innumerable divine services through the years, as well as to acknowledge the very pious American tradition of giving thanks to God for His bounty.
On this special occasion, Vladyka, with the blessing of Metropolitan Hilarion, awarded Hieromonk Gabriel the right to wear the Gold Cross for his dedication and service to the Holy Church.
