As was previously written, the Burial service of the Mother of God was served on the Apodosis of the feast of Transfiguration. On the feast itself, Vladyka served the polyleos during the Vigil and the Divine Liturgy on the feast day, along with the monastery clergy.
At the same time of the Vigil and Divine Liturgy, services were held in English in the cemetery chapel of the Dormition in the cemetery, whose feast day it was. Both services were attended by a multitude of faithful and pilgrims from all over.
At the end of the Liturgy in the cathedral, there was a Cross procession with the monastery copy of the famous Pochaev Icon of the Most Holy Mother of God, to the cemetery chapel. This icon is highly venerated by the faithful as a source of healing and answering of many prayers. This was part of a moleben, which finished with a procession around the chapel. The icon, according to monastery tradition, is left on the altar table in the chapel until the festivities of Labor Day weekend, when the monastery holds its pilgrimage weekend in honor of St. Job of Pochaev and the icon of the Mother of God.
