On the Feast of the Equal to the Apostles Grand Princess Olga, Bishop Luke served the Vigil and Liturgy at the convent of Quick to Hear. St. Olga is the second patron of the Convent and of their craft shop. Concelebrating with Vladyka were Archpriest Sergei Kotar, Archpriest Boris Henderson, Priest Job Watts, Priest Vincent Dranginis and Archdeacon Paisii. Pilgrims and neighbors joined with Vladyka and the sisters in glorifying St. Olga. The Russian Orthodox Church began through the apostolic labors of St Olga and continued with the struggles of her grandson the Equal to the Apostle Grand Prince Vladimir. Vladyka in his homily reminded the sisters that St. Olga is praised as the initiator of Russian Orthodox women's monasticism and a continuous line of women saints in the Russian Church. She followed the good inclination of her heart and was obedient to the call of the Holy Spirit helping her overcome difficulties on her path to salvation and the establishment of the Church in Russia. Her incorrupt and fragrant relics attested to her God pleasing life.
