Spiritual Feast in Holy Trinity Monastery
The monastery celebrated a truly grace-filled feast on March 31, 2026 with the tonsure of four of its rassophore monks to the angelic state and three novices to be rassophore monks. This followed the serving of the General Unction Mystery earlier in the day, which has become a tradition of the monastery for over thirty years. Many of the faithful from the area as well as from nearby parishes availed themselves of this wonderful sacrament for healing, both spiritual and physical.
Four of our rassophore monks spent Great Lent preparing for taking on the Little Schema. Fathers Vladimir, Peter, Seraphim, and Nicholas were tonsured by His Grace Bishop Luke, abbot of the monastery and given their new names, in the same order, of Seraphim, in honor of St. Seraphim of Vyritsa, Patrick, the Enlightener of Ireland, Theophan, the Recluse, and Hilarion Troitsky, the New Hieromartyr. Thereupon, Vladyka performed the small tonsure of Novices Dimitry, Chad, and Christos to the rassopohore.
May the Lord and the heavenly patrons of our fathers give them the strength and zeal to struggle for salvation in the Lord.
