Dear in the Lord reverend Fathers, brothers, and sisters,
Whenever we are in need or in sorrow, we turn our prayers to our Lord, His Mother, and the holy saints. At the same time, our Orthodox monastics are in constant prayer for us and for the entire world every day of their lives. It is in our best interests, as well as being our solemn duty as Orthodox Christians, to support the life of our monks and nuns.
Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville is experiencing trying times. Much of the infrastructure, including electric and plumbing, has weathered and deteriorated over the decades. Without our help and immediate action, the monastery will be forced to take drastic measures, and much of the property will be unusable, lost to decay.
I implore all of the faithful sons and daughters of the Russian Church Abroad, as well as those outside of her omophorion, but who nonetheless love the Russian Church and wish to see Orthodoxy flourish in our American land, to contribute to help Holy Trinity Monastery, so that it may be preserved for the years and centuries to come.
With love in Christ,
+HILARION
Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York
First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad
