Fire at the Apiary of Holy Trinity Monastery
Fire at the Apiary of Holy Trinity Monastery

On Thursday, January 9, 2014 around 2:00 PM the building in the apiary used for extracting honey burnt down along with some adjoining sheds. The equipment used in extracting honey was damaged beyond repair.  Emergency crews from various departments responded and put out the fire, preventing other buildings from burning. Thank God various gas tanks that were in the area were removed in time. Holy Trinity Monastery would like to express its gratitude to all the departments that responded. We ask for the prayers of the faithful for God's protection and well being of the monastery.

This incident has brought to our attention more acutely the need to continue upgrading all the electrical and plumbing problems in the monastery. We appreciate your continued assistance for general repairs in all these areas.
